What is Stake Dice?
Dice is the original crypto casino game and one of Stake's most-played Originals. A number between 0.00 and 100.00 is rolled. You decide whether the result will land over or under a target you choose — and the closer your target is to the edge, the higher the payout.
How to play Dice on Stake
- Enter your bet.
- Drag the slider to set your target number.
- Choose Roll Over or Roll Under. The win chance and multiplier update instantly.
- Roll — or use Auto with stop-loss and stop-win limits.
Win chance vs. multiplier
The multiplier is simply 99 ÷ win chance (the 99 reflects the ~1% house edge).
| Win chance | Multiplier | Style |
|---|---|---|
| 90% | 1.1× | Very safe, tiny wins |
| 49.5% | 2× | Coin flip |
| 24.75% | 4× | Medium risk |
| 9.9% | 10× | High risk |
| 0.99% | 100× | Long shot |
Dice tips
- Betting systems don't change the odds. Martingale (doubling after a loss) can wipe out a balance quickly during a losing streak.
- Every roll is independent — past results don't affect the next one.
- Set a session budget and stop-loss before using Auto.
- Verify any roll with Stake's provably fair tools — see our guide.

Stake Dice FAQ
How does Stake Dice work?
A number between 0 and 100 is rolled. You pick a target and choose roll over or roll under. Your win chance sets the multiplier: 99 divided by the win chance.
What is the house edge on Stake Dice?
Stake Dice has a house edge of about 1% (99% RTP).
Is there a winning Dice strategy?
No. Betting systems like Martingale change how your balance swings, not the expected result. Set limits and play for entertainment.
Is Stake Dice provably fair?
Yes. Every roll can be verified using the server seed, client seed and nonce.
